Today Johannes Vries celebrates his 61st birthday in the restaurant of the Lake Oanob Resort. His wife Geralda, his children Elton, Gustav, Jean, Elroy, Franco, Nathalie and the rest of the family as well as all of his friends wished best of luck to him. A lot of presents were given to him. Today Frauke and Hans Henning Mercker celebrate their Golden Wedding on the pontoon boat "Fish Eagle". Frauke came on holiday in 1957 and she stayed. Three years later they got married. Their family and their friends cruised on the Lake Oanob for three hours. They enjoyed a "lekker" lunch during their cruise. A lot of memories were exchanged. Fotogalerie >

On this Friday a group of brokers from Pioneers Insurance Consultants / Momentum Life had a lot of fun during their day at the Lake Oanob Resort. First they cruised on the pontoon boat "Fish Eagle", after this they had lunch at the restaurant. Later on, they enjoyed some drinks at the bar. In the evening they went back to Windhoek. On this Saturday evening Adriana and Nolan celebrated their engagement in our waterfront restaurant. Their families and their friends afforded an unforgettable party to them. Today Rose Charles von Southafrica and her party visited the Lake Oanob Resort. The 60 travelers relaxed from their journey on a cruise with our pontoon boat "Fish Eagle". This weekend Lake Oanob Resort organised a "Wedding Photography Weekend". Scott Hurd, a well known professional photographer and his wife Judy presented a "hands-on" course in a relaxed manner, where the participants learned about their role in the wedding process, how to find new angles and how to see new shots. Two lovely models were available for the session. After the session Scott showed on the program "Photoshop" how to edit and process the images. Finally all participants showed a few of their edited pictures. They all got a lot of acclamation from the participants and also from Judy and Scott Hurd.

Since many years Rene Ruitenberg and his volunteers are supporting the poor people in Rehoboth. He is well known for his project "Rene Kids Centre". At present a number of teenagers from the Netherlands (his home country) stay in Rehoboth. They want to have a look at the work of the centre. Today they relax at Lake Oanob Resort. Sunbathing, swimming, a cruise with our pontoon boat "Fish Eagle" and a "lekker" dinner is on their program. Every year Mrs. Jacob from Cape Town / South Africa organizes a big journey for herself, her neighbors, her friends and their families. On this Friday the 30 travelers stopped at Lake Oanob Resort. Everybody went on our pontoon boat, called "Fish Eagle" and enjoyed a "lekker Braai Buffet" while cruising on the beautiful lake.
